Risk Management
Flight Risk Management considers
the relationship of hazards and risks, and how they may be quantified
to facilitate effective mitigation. The Flyer's Program includes application
of techniques presented in the King Schools' “Practical Risk Management
for Pilots” Course, and includes suggestions to establish a Personal
Minimums Checklist. Flyer's Orientation Training includes methods for
conduct runway risk assessments, and provides techniques for estimating
flight visibility and computing weight and balance. Finally, this area
provides guidance for establishing a Personal Checklist for use when
encountering unplanned marginal VFR conditions.
