Personal Safety
Program
Medallion Flyers' Personal Safety
Program includes an entry level Safety Management Course, focusing on
hazards, risks, human error, and other factors that contribute to aviation
mishaps. The FAA's Advisory Circular 61-91 (Wings Program) is discussed
briefly, and Medallion Flyers' participation requirements are outlined
and explained. The importance of adopting a proactive approach to flying,
evaluating and improving personal performance, and preparing for the
unexpected are emphasized. Finally, guidance is provided for implementing
a Personal Safety and Risk Management Program, and establishing and
maintaining a Personal Safety Log.
