HOW TO USE THE
MEDALLION FOUNDATION’S
PA-18 SIMULATOR
If you hold a valid instructor certificate:
Call Glen at 440-8951 or 223-2978 and schedule an appointment.
The Medallion instructor will put you through the training program
Once you have satisfactorily completed the Medallion training program you will be given access to the simulator.
If you do not hold a valid instructor certificate:
You must receive training from a qualified instructor. Call Glen at 440-8951, or 223-2978. He will set up an appointment for you.
Once you have satisfactorily completed the training course you will be given access to the simulator.
Once you are qualified by the appropriate method above—to schedule PA18 simulator time:
Go to the Medallion website at www.medallionfoundation.org and click on the CFI/DPE tab, then click on schedule, open scheduler, if the schedule is open to use the PA18 simulator call Glen at 440-8951, or 223-2978 and he will schedule your desired time.
If you can’t get Glen, leave a message or call the Medallion Foundation 907-743-8050.
General rules:
Do not operate the sim if you have not been qualified by a Medallion qualified instructor.
You must follow all operating rules including shutdown. If you shut the simulator down improperly and damage it your user privileges will be revoked forever.
If there is a problem with the simulatordo not “troubleshoot”contact Glen at 223-2978.
Instructors: Please contact Glen when you have qualified a new pilot or instructor to solo. Please log the instruction information in the logbook located on the instructor station.
